CHEF (PIZZA)

We’re looking for a Pizza Chef to join our team! Put your creativity and expertise to work in crafting delectable pizzas that will leave a lasting impression on our guests. The role is part of a team based from our attractive and busy shop based in Watford .

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to established recipes and standards.
  • Stretch and shape dough by hand to create a variety of pizza styles, including thin-crust and deep-dish.
  • Operate pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure pizzas are cooked to perfection.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment
  • Best practice opening and closing kitchen procedures.
  • Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness & hygiene in the kitchen and
    associated areas. Strict adherence to Food Safety standards, company policy and
    procedures.
  • Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Assisting in menu development and introducing new dishes as required.
  • Training and supervising junior kitchen staff.
  • Monitoring food quality and presentation to maintain high standards.
  • Complying with all food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Contribute ideas for new pizza flavors and seasonal specials to keep our menu
    fresh and exciting.

Training, Skills & Experience Required

  • At least 3-5 years of experience as Chef is ideal.
  • Reliable with excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail.
  • Computer literate, with the ability to use basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • GCSE with Maths & English preferable.
